Providenciales is the main island with an international airport. Should you need to look further for your production needs, Miami is the closest major production centre and only a short 1.5hrs flight away.

When to shoot? Hot and tropical climate tempered by trade winds throughout most of the year. The driest period is from January to April. Wet season is from July to November which is also the hurricane season. Turks and Caicos weather is generally warmer with less rain and humidity than its Caribbean neighbors.

Costs. Local costs are expensive. Since little to no filming infrastructure exists all key crew and equipment must be brought in from abroad. Post needs to be done abroad. Turks & Caicos have limited local agriculture so most food and supplies need to be imported and are expensive as a result. Local transport is expensive. Accommodation particularly during the dry period can also be very expensive.
Talent is non-union and buyouts are negotiable. The official language is English. Turks & Caicos has a small pool of talent looks consisting mainly of Afro-Caribbean and some Caucasian looks. All other talent needs to be brought in from abroad. There are no casting agencies. Street casting is required.
