Film Locations. Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean. The three main islands - Mahe, Praslin and La Digue are granitic islands (ie: They are the tips of mountains), the others are coral islands. Most of the islands are privately owned or are resorts or nature / marine parks.
Seychelles offers world famous pristine white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Lush hills and huge glacial boulders. Coral reefs. Surfing. Paradise beaches of Anse Source d’Argent, Anse Soleil, Petite Anse and Grande Anse. Curieuse Island giant tortoises. The mountainous Morne Seychellois National Park. Vallée de Mai.
Permits. Permitting in Seychelles is an easy process. Most locations are possible given time, money and the right approach.
When to shoot? Seychelles enjoys a consistently warm tropical climate all year round. The dry season runs from January to May, when showers are few and sporadic and the land is cooled by northeast trade winds. The rainy season is June to December when conditions are hot and humid and short bursts of heavy rainfall frequently occur. Conditions are humid around the coast but become considerably cooler and wetter toward the mountainous interior. Seychelles lies outside of the hurricane belt.

Costs. Seychelles have no filming infrastructure so all crew and equipment must be brought in from abroad. Despite costs being based on the Euro, Seychelles remain a relatively cost competitive production centre in terms of what you are getting.
Talent is non-union and buyouts are negotiable. Citizens are predominantly a mix of French, African, Indian, and Chinese descent. Street casting is required. There are no local talent agencies. Best to bring in lead talent from abroad.
Seychelles has no pool of directors, directors of photography and stills photographers.

Art department and set construction is very basic.
Studios and backlots. None exist at present.
Tax Incentives. At present there are no tax incentives for foreign

Post Production. No labs exist locally. Post abroad.
Visas and Work Permits. Entry is subject to regulations from country of origin. Contact your local Seychelles embassy or representative for more information.
Transportation Infrastructure. Main roads are up to international standards. Several international airlines service flights to Seychelles.
