When to shoot? Haiti enjoys a tropical climate and the weather is generally hot and humid. The rainy season runs from October to May and there are often severe storms during the hurricane season, between June and October, when there is the risk of flooding and hurricanes.

Costs. Locations, local talent and support crew are inexpensive but since little to no filming infrastructure exists all key crew and equipment must be brought in from abroad.
Talent is non-union and buyouts are negotiable. French is spoken. Haiti offers mainly Afro-Caribbean talent of predominantly West African descent. All other talent looks need to be brought in from abroad.
Haiti has no pool of directors, directors of photography and stills photographers.

Fringes and Premiums. No hidden extras. No fixed premiums apply. We package deals for local crew / talent.

commercials or films shooting in Haiti.
Film Stock. Must bring from abroad.
Post Production. No labs exist locally. Post abroad.
Visas and Work Permits. Entry is subject to regulations from country of origin. Contact your local Haitian embassy or representative for more information.
Transportation Infrastructure. Main roads are up to international standards. Several international airlines service flights to Haiti.
