Film Locations. London is the main production centre and offers a wealth of unique looks - Tower of London, Houses of Parliament, London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, manicured parks, Thames River, London Bridge, unique neighborhoods, modern and period architecture, football stadiums, Tate Modern, British Museum and many other museums and galleries.
Outside of London you can find Manchester, Bath, Liverpool, Canterbury, Birmingham, Cornwall, Oxford and Cambridge, Cotswolds, Lake District, Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, Stone Hedge, Hadrian's Wall, Cliffs of Dover, coastal villages, small English hamlets, green rolling fields, country lanes with stone fences, canals, forests, palaces, castles and manors.
Permits. England has a streamlined permitting process.
When to shoot? England's summer months from June to September are usually sunny and mild. Rainfall occurs all year round but is heavier in winter. The winter months from November to January are cold and wet and snow is rare.

Costs. England is a relatively expensive place to shoot due to the high cost of locations, talent and crews. England also trades in the Great Britain Pound. Any locations requiring travel outside of London or Manchester are an additional cost to filming.
Talent. England has a very deep, multicultural and multilingual pool of talent. Specialist agencies exist to supply every kind of possible talent from the unique to the generic. Many of the world's celebrities also live in the US.

Creative talent. England has a very good pool of local directors, directors of photography and stills photographers. Its close proximity to other major European production centres allows easy access to those pools of creative talent should you ever need to look further.

Crews are of the highest international standard. England has world renowned, experienced, professional technical crews. London offers a great depth of all crew. Manchester is a TV show city so if you are shooting a commercial or film, some crew are best brought in from London.
