Film Locations. Fine white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, gray sand beaches, secluded coves, mountains, ski resorts, citrus orchards and olive groves, rolling vineyards, wide open plains carpeted with colourful wild flowers, to cool pine forests. Ancient Salamis and ancient Kourion ruins, St Hilarion Castle ruins. Byzantine Churches and monasteries.
Permits. Permitting is a straight forward process with most locations taking no more than a week.
When to shoot? Cyprus enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with abundant sunshine year round. Long dry summers and mild winters are separated by short autumn and spring seasons. Summer is a time of high temperatures with cloudless skies, but the sea breeze creates a pleasant atmosphere in the coastal areas. Winters are mild, with some rain and snow on the Troodos Mountains.

Costs. Locations, local talent and support crew are inexpensive. Although key crew and some specialized equipment may need to be brought in.
Talent is non-union and buyouts are negotiable. Cyprus offers mainly Greek and Turkish looks. All other talent looks need to be brought in from abroad.

Cyprus has no pool of directors, directors of photography and stills photographers. Its close proximity to major European production centres allows easy access to those pools of creative talent should you ever need to look further.

commercials or films shooting in Cyprus.

Post Production. No labs exist locally. Must post abroad.
Visas and Work Permits. Entry is subject to regulations from country of origin. Contact your local Cypriot embassy or representative for more information.
Transportation Infrastructure. Roads are up to international standards. Several international and budget airlines service flights to Cyprus.
