Locations. Unique architecture including Basilica of Our Lady of Peace which modeled on the Vatican is the world's largest church. Tribal villages, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, rainforest, savanna, mountains, national parks, surf beaches.

Permits. Most locations are possible given time, money and the right approach.

When to shoot? The climate of Cote d'Ivoire is warm and humid, ranging from equatorial in the southern coasts to tropical in the middle and semiarid in the far north. There are three seasons: warm and dry (November to March), hot and dry (March to May), and hot and wet (June to October).

Costs. Locations, local talent and support crew are inexpensive but since little to no filming infrastructure exists all key crew and equipment must be brought in from abroad.

Talent is non-union and buyouts are negotiable.

Cote D'Ivoire offers mainly West African looking talent. All other talent needs to be brought in from abroad.

Cote D'Ivoire has no local pool of directors, directors of photography and stills photographers.

Crews are non-union. Key crew should be brought in from abroad.

Fringes.
No hidden extras.

Premiums. No fixed premiums apply. We package deals for local crew / talent.

Equipment. You will need to bring in all equipment from abroad.

Art department and set construction is very basic.

Studios and backlots. None exist at present.

Tax Incentives. At present there are no tax incentives for foreign commercials or films shooting in Cote D'Ivoire.

Film Stock. Must bring from abroad.

Post Production. No labs exist locally. Post abroad.

Visas and Work Permits. Entry is subject to regulations from country of origin. Contact your local Cote D'Ivoire embassy or representative for more information.

Transportation Infrastructure is quite basic. Major roads are sealed. Most other roads are unsealed and damaged. Several international airlines service flights to Cote D'Ivoire.
