Film Locations. The Cape Verde archipelago is located off the coast of West Africa. It is composed of ten islands and eight islets. Beachfront resorts, active volcanos, paradise white sand beaches, salt flats, sugarcane fields and banana plantations spread along the base of towering mountains.
Permits. Most locations are possible given time, money and the right approach.
When to shoot? The tropical climate of Cape Verde is tempered by trade winds, temperatures remaining constant most of the year. The rainy season is from August to October. Rains tend to come in short downpours.

Costs. Locations, local talent and support crew are inexpensive but since little to no filming infrastructure exists all key crew and equipment must be brought in from abroad.
Talent is non-union and buyouts are negotiable.
Cape Verde has offers mainly West African looking talent. There are 42 local ethnic groups. The population is mostly young. There is also a small community of Lebanese, East Indian and European looks. All other talent needs to be brought in from abroad.
Cape Verde has no local pool of directors, directors of photography and stills photographers.

Premiums. No fixed premiums apply. We package deals for local crew / talent.
Equipment. You will need to bring in all equipment from abroad.

Tax Incentives. At present there are no tax incentives for foreign
commercials or films shooting in Cape Verde.
Film Stock. Must bring from abroad.
Post Production. No labs exist locally. Post abroad.
Visas and Work Permits. Entry is subject to regulations from country of origin. Contact your local Cape Verde embassy or representative for more information.
Transportation Infrastructure is quite basic. Several international airlines service flights to Cape Verde.
