When to shoot?
Brunei has a year round hot and humid tropical climate. November and December is the monsoon season. March to April are the best months to visit.

For monthly weather statistics please see here.

Please contact us for more specific weather and sun path information.

Costs. In terms of local costs, Brunei is roughly at the same price point as Singapore, which is about twice as expensive as Malaysia. Since little to no filming infrastructure exists all key crew and equipment must be brought in from abroad. This can add considerably to the cost of shooting. Singapore and Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok are the closest major film production centres.

In most cases, you would only really shoot in Brunei if the project specially required it to be shot there.

Talent is non-union and buyouts are negotiable. Brunei offers mainly Malay looks with some Chinese looks also available. All other talent looks need to be brought in from abroad.

Brunei has no pool of directors, directors of photography and stills photographers.

Please contact us for recommended directors, DoP's and photographers for your project.
